THE WINE & FESTIVAL

Galicia has high quality wine without pretension. You can taste the range of grapes at the festival (Albarino, Godello, Mencia, Caino, Tempranillo...)  as well as visiting the areas' top wineries, such as Pazo Baion in Rias Baixas.Meet the team, take a tour of the estate and enjoy their wines over a mighty fine lunch.

Enjoy the Rias Baixas (see below) and the wine festival at Ribadavia.

THE HOTELS

Parador hotels are a Spanish institution in more ways than one. They are luxury hotels, converted from ancient convents, monasteries, palaces and castles in stunning locations.

On this trip, you bag the Parador overlooking the Cathedral in Santiago as well the Parador in central Pontevedra.

You get the best of both worlds

THE CAPITAL

It's no surprise people walk hundreds of miles to end up in Santiago de Compostela. It's beautiful, interesting, ancient and has fantastic food and drink.

This trip even affords the chance to walk a section of The Camino but also to sample the best restaurants, bars and cafes Santiago has to offer. And it's quite a bit...

THE RIAS BAIXAS

On the stunning Atlantic coast, this region hosts beautiful beaches and is home to the lower estuaries of 4 rivers.

Naturally, this lends itself to amazing seafood, landscape and wine. In this particular region, Albarino is the star but Galicia in general has stunning reds (mostly Mencia) as well as whites (including Godello). The whole place is breath-taking.
